DAY 01: Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) (by car)

Day 1 – Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) (By car) – Meals (none0

After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Kyaikhtiyo, about 190 km from Yangon. Along the way, you can enjoy the countryside views including water buffaloes and cows around paddy fields, fishing village, plantations of rubber, cashew nuts and pomelo, etc… up to Kyaikhtiyo. After 4 hours drive from Yangon, you will reach Kinpun Basecamp. From there we have to take a local open truck which is specially prepared for hilly track up, you can get joyful and exciting experience on the way passing through forests, waterfall and streams.

Then, walking a few minutes to check in to your hotel and visit to the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda which stands on a gilded boulder precariously perched on the edge of a hill and watch the beauty of sunset at this important pilgrimage site. For being located on the hill, you can enjoy the nice scenery of hills, valleys, clouds, fresh air, amazing sunset and sunrise. Back to the hotel and overnight at the Hotel.



Day 2 – Kyaikhtiyo – Hpa an (by car) – Meals (B)

After breakfast, check out from hotel, and going same way back to Kinpun Base Camp and then proceed by your private coach to Hpa An, the capital of Karen people. On the way, you can visit famous natural hot spring reputed to have healing powers at Baying Nyi Naung Gu( a natural lime stone cave ). To see the detail lifestyle of local, it is interesting to stop at a village on the way and chat with friendly locals. And then, continue to visit Kawgun Cave where you can find many Buddha images and votives insides.

After that, driving to Mt. Zwekabin, the symbol of Karen State, it is a steep mountain to climb, there is a garden of bayan trees and sitting Buddhas near the base of Mt. Zwekabin so it serves as a good photo stop. On the way to Mt. Zwekabin, we will visit Kyauk Ka Lap Pagoda – a truly unique pagoda, set on top of an unusual rock formation in the middle of a lake. Then, explore to Hpa An Market and Shwe Yin Myaw Pagoda, where you can see an amazing view of Thanlwin ( Salween ) river. Back to the hotel and overnight at hotel.



Day 3 – Hpa an – Mawlamyine (by Car) – Meals (B)

After Breakfast, explore Sa Dan Cave which opens into a gigantic cavern filled with Buddha images and pagodas, it is very nice to see some parts of the wall by boat. After that, a short stop at Kayone Cave which is impressive inside. Then, proceed to Mawlamyine; a capital of Mon Statue situated at the mouth of the Thanlwin River where is famous for its scenic beauty, and fresh fruits like mangosteens, durians, etc…. There are some colonial buildings from an early 19th century in here which are worth visiting.

On arrival, visit Kyaik Thanlan Pagoda to overview the city and river. Later, going to Mawlamyine Market where you can find many local products and import items from Thailand. And then drive to Sein Tone Queen Monastery to see the classic decoration and architecture. Later going to the old Judson Baptist Church of 1827. Back to the hotel and overnight at the hotel in Mawlamyine.



Day 4 – Bilu Island( life seeing tours) – Meals (B)

After breakfast, going to Bilu Island which is a peaceful town comprised of 64 villages by crossing the new bridge on the river. It is famous for its handicrafts. Visit some village smaking walking sticks, hand-made rubber bands, handy black stone tablets with the wooden frame, smoking pipe, wooden pen, and etc…..There you will have a chance to learn the lifestyle of local people and trying local foods. Return to Mawlamyine and free at leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight at the hotel in Mawlamyine,

Day 5 – Mawlamyine – Thanphyuzayut – Kyaikkami – Set Se Beach( by car) – Meals (B)

After breakfast in the morning, visit Kyauktalone Pagoda which is on the mountain, and then, going to 170m-long reclining Buddha known as Win Sein Taw Ya. After that, visiting Phar Auk Monastery (Meditation Center) to learn how people practice meditation lesson. Then, drive 64 km to the south of Mawlamyine to the famous small town Thanbyuzayat: the name of that town come from the rest house with the tin roof on the main road.

(Thanbyu means tin and zayat means rest house.) Going to see the historical Allied War Cemetery and the Myanmar end of the well known “Death Railway”, there is a locomotive and piece of rail tract commemorating the Burma-Siam Railway on display. And, continue going to visit Kyaikkami Pagoda; perched on rocks by the sea and joined to the land by a covered causeway. And, a short stop at Set Se Beach to relax before returning to Mawlamyine. Return to hotel and Overnight at the hotel in Mawlamyine.



Day 6 – Mawlamyine – Bago – Yangon (by Car) – Meals (B)

After breakfast, start your long drive to Yangon. On the way, explore Bago, the Ancient Mon Capital Hamthawaddy. Along the way, it is interesting to see the countryside view of paddy fields and plantations. Then, going to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of the most important pagodas in Myanmar which is built in Mon style. Another high light of Bago, the excavation and restoration site of 16th-century palace Kanbawzathadi built by King Bayint Naung is also a place worth to see.

Then a short visit to Shwethalyaung Buddha Image, the old reclining Buddha since 994 A D. And then drive back to Yangon, on the way you can see the four gigantic sitting Buddhas in Mon style known as Kyaik Pun Pagoda. Drive back to Yangon and overnight in Yangon.
