A very scenic drive to the countryside, The holiest KYAIKHTIYO Pagoda (that stands on a gilded boulder precariously perched on the edge of the hill), A pleasant town Hpa-An - surrounded with beautiful caves that are filled with religious Buddha Images & Stupas, An old British Colonial Town – Mawlamyine, and its nearby town:-Thanphyuzayut (famous for its Death Railway of WWII) and Bilu Island that produced amazing unique handicrafts of Myanmar are the main highlights. Moreover, you will have a chance to learn and try different cultures of two States, their traditional cuisines and their ways of life. Finally, make your return trip complete en route stop at Ancient Royal City; Bago.

Detail Itinerary

Day 1 - Yangon – Kyaikhtiyo (Golden Rock) (By car)

kyaikhtiyo-01After early breakfast at hotel, drive to Kyaikhtiyo. On the way, a short visit the Allied War Cemetery at Htaukkyant near Yangon. Then, continue to Kyaikhtiyo    (the Golden Rock) about 160 km from Yangon, stands on a gilded boulder precariously perched on the edge of a hill.  Our coach has to stop at Kinpun Base camp.  From there we have to take an open truck which is normally used for hilly track up. On arrival, visit to the Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda and watch the beauty of sunset or dawn at this important pilgrimage site. Overnight at the Hotel in Kyaikhtiyo
 
Day 2 - Kyaikhtiyo – Hpa an (by car)

phaan-01ABF Proceed by and drive to Hpa An to visit caves, monasteries and note worthy attractions. Sightseeing highlight in Hpa An includes Baying Nyi Naung Gu, a natural limestone cave with hot springs reputed to have healing powers. Then continue to visit Kawgun Cave as well as Mt. Zwekabin (recommend for a photo stop), Hpa An Myo Ma Market and Shwe Yin Myaw Pagoda. On the way to Mt. Zwekabin, make sure to visit Kyauk Ka Lap Pagoda - a truly unique pagoda, set on top of an unusual rock formation in the middle of a lake. Overnight at Lodge, (B)
 
Day 3 – Hpa an – Mawlamyine (by Car)
mawlamyaing-01After Breakfast, visit Sa Dan Cave which opens into a gigantic cavern filled with Buddhas and pagodas and a short stop at Kayone Cave.
Then, proceed to Mawlamyine; a capital of Mon Statue situated at the mouth of the Thanlwin River. It is famous for its scenic beauty and its temperature climate. On arrival, visit Kyaik Thanlan Pagoda, Mawlamyine Market, Sein Tone Queen Monastery and Church. Overnight at the hotel in Mawlamyine, (B)
 
Day 4 – Bilu Island
mawlamyaing-10Today, you will be visited to Bilu Island comprised 64 villages. Take 45 mins boat to Bilu Island (famous for its handicrafts). Visit in some villages to see the handicraft workshops like walking sticks, hand-made rubber bands, slate working, pipe, wooden pen, rug and etc.
You will have a chance to learn the way of local people life.
Return to Mawlamlyine and free at leisure for the rest of the day. Overnight at the hotel in Mawlamyine, (B)
 
Day 5 – Mawlamyine – Thanphyuzayut – Kyaikkami – Set Se Beach

thanphyuzayut-01In the morning, visit to Kyauktalone Pagoda, Win Sein Taw Ya (The 170m-long reclining Buddha) and Phar Auk Forest Monastery (Meditation Center) to witness how people take meditation lesson.

Then, drive to Thanbyuzayat: 64 km south of Mawlamyine. It was the western terminus of Burma - Siam Railway called the “Death Railway". About 1 1/2 km south of the clock tower, a locomotive and piece of rail tract commemorating the Burma-Siam Railway on display. And, continue visit to Kyaikkami Pagoda; perched on rocks by the sea and joined to the land by a covered causeway. And, a short stop at Set se Beach on the way to Mawlamyine.

Finally return to hotel and Overnight at the hotel in Mawlamyine, (B)
 
Day 6 - Mawlamyine - Bago - Yangon (by Car)

bago-01After breakfast return Yangon by coach. Enroute visit Bago, the ancient Mon Capital, 80 Kilometers northeast of Yangon. Sightseeing tour highlights include Shwemawdaw Pagoda, over a thousand years old; its spire is even taller than Shwedagon Pagoda. The 55 meter long reclining Shwethalyaung Buddha image is among the countries most revered, Kyaik Pun Pagoda; the home to the Four Seated Buddha shrine and The Hanthawadi Palace: Kanbawza Thadi, the famous palace of King Bayinnaung (1551 – 1581 A.D.) is being extensively excavated and some buildings are being rebuilt. Finally, proceed to Yangon and Overnight at the hotel in Yangon, (B)
